Firstly This is a bit of good news for those of you with Windows XPMicrosoft has launched a new "Fix-it" tool similar to the tool those of us with Vista and Win7 have enjoyed (or not) and it's available free here

Sadly it is only for those of you with the service pack 3 installed and I know one or two of you are still running with service pack 2 for lack of memory reason or your copies not kosher
If this doesn't "fix-it then look at the menu links and see if it's covered there.
Don't forget these pages will not be available to you if you can't start your machine, so take notes
